The brilliant Korean violinist Kyung Sun Lee makes her seventh appearance on the Saint Vincent College Concert Series on Saturday, April 16, at 8 p.m. sharp in the Science Center Amphitheatre of Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. Brian Suits is the collaborative pianist. Admission to the concert is $20.

A Classic Evening at Saint Vincent, with a sitdown dinner at 6 p.m. sharp and a standout concert at 8 p.m. sharp, is available at $30 per person. Ms. Lee will perform Stravinsky's Suite Italienne; Ravel's Sonata; Saint-Saëns'Romance in C Major, Op. 48; and Brahms' Sonata No. 3 in D Minor, Op. 108.

Korean violinist Kyung Sun Lee has been a laureate in numerous international violin competitions including the 1994 Tchaikovsky Competition and the 1993 Queen Elizabeth Competition. Other honors include the First Prizes of the D'Angelo and Washington International Competitions, Third Prize in the Montreal International Competition, Second Prize in the Leopold Mozart International Competition in Germany, and Fourth Prize in the Lexus International Violin Competition in New Zealand.

Ms. Lee's career has included performances with the Montreal Symphony, Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, Erie Philharmonic, Chautauqua Symphony, Munich Radio Orchestra under the baton of Sir Yehudi Menuhin, Seoul Philharmonic, Taipei City Symphony and New Zealand Symphony. In recital, Ms. Lee has performed throughout the United States, notably in New York, Los Angeles, Honolulu and at the Phillips Collection in Washington, DC.

Ms. Lee is a graduate of The Juilliard School where she was a student of Dorothy Delay. She was awarded both a Master's Degree and an Artist Diploma from the Peabody Conservatory. Ms. Lee is a graduate of Seoul University and is on the faculty of the Oberlin Conservatory.

Collaborative pianist Brian Suits has many performance credits including work as a soloist, accompanist and chamber musician. He is an accomplished improvisational artist and has won several awards as a composer. He was a faculty member of Yale University from 1990 through 2002. Brian Suits and Kyung Sun Lee have both recorded extensively.
